Please read these terms before using TagMap (“the App”). By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to them.
1. The service
The App is a map-annotation and workout-route viewer for iPhone, iPad and Mac, maintained by an independent developer. It has no servers and no accounts; everything runs on your device and syncing goes through your own iCloud.
2. Licence and restrictions
You are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the App, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
3. Your content
The places, tags, notes and trips you create belong to you. The developer claims no rights over them and cannot access them (see the Privacy Policy). Please keep your own backups — uninstalling the App deletes its local data.
4. Disclaimers
4.1 Map and route data
Maps, place search, routes and estimated travel times come from Apple’s map services. The developer neither produces nor verifies this data. Routes and times are indicative only; actual roads and traffic conditions take precedence.
4.2 The App is not a navigation system
It provides no turn-by-turn guidance, no off-route recalculation and no voice prompts, and is not suitable for use while driving. Do not rely on it for real-time navigation.
4.3 Some routes are indicative lines
Where footpath data is unavailable — inside some parks or indoor malls, for example — the App cannot compute a real walking route and instead draws a straight line between the two points, labelled as such in the interface. That line does not represent a passable path; walls, water and restricted areas may lie in between.
4.4 Workout and health data
The App only displays workouts that already exist in your Health app. It performs no measurement, diagnosis or assessment. The App is not a medical device, and the distances, durations and heart rates it shows do not constitute medical or health advice. Consult a qualified professional for health questions.
4.5 Location accuracy
Positioning accuracy depends on hardware, satellite reception and obstructions. No guarantee of accuracy is made.
5. Changes and termination
The developer may update or modify the App, or discontinue it, at any time. The App is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any direct or indirect loss arising from use of the App.
6. Third-party services
The App uses Apple’s map, health and iCloud services, which are governed by Apple’s own terms. The developer is not responsible for their availability or behaviour.
7. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time; the effective date on this page will be revised. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China. If any provision is held invalid, the remainder stays in effect.
