This app has no servers and no account system — the developer does not collect, receive or store any of your data. This policy explains what the app processes on your device, where it is kept, and what rights you have.
1. Information we collect
The developer collects nothing. There is no account system, no third-party analytics, advertising or measurement component, and no data is sent to any server the developer controls — the developer has no servers.
The following is processed and stored locally on your device:
1.1 Contacts
- Purpose: reading, editing, de-duplicating and bulk-deleting your contacts — the core of the app
- Scope: the app reads and writes your iPhone’s system address book; it does not keep a second copy
- Limited access: since iOS 18 you may grant access to only some contacts. The app fully supports this and shows a clear “showing only some contacts” notice at the top of the list, so you never mistake it for missing data
1.2 Camera
- Purpose: photographing business cards for text recognition, and scanning vCard QR codes
- Processing: recognition uses Apple’s Vision framework and happens entirely on your device
- Retention: captured images are not saved; they are discarded once recognition finishes
1.3 Microphone and speech recognition
- Purpose: turning a spoken memo into text saved as a contact note
- Processing: speech recognition is forced to on-device mode (
requiresOnDeviceRecognition). Audio is never sent to Apple or any third party - Retention: no audio file is kept — only the text you confirm
1.4 Calendar and Reminders
- Purpose: only when you turn syncing on, writing birthdays to Calendar and follow-ups to Reminders
- Scope: the app only writes entries it created; it does not read the rest of your schedule
1.5 Notifications
- Purpose: birthday and follow-up reminders, all delivered as local notifications
- Note: there is no push server; the developer cannot send you messages
1.6 What we explicitly do not collect
- Your contacts are never uploaded to a developer server (there is none)
- No location, photo library or health data is read
- No IDFA or advertising identifier; no cross-app or cross-site tracking of any kind
- No device identifiers, no profiling, no behavioural analytics
- No third-party SDKs
2. How we use this information
Only to provide the app’s own functionality: managing and cleaning up your contacts, recognising business cards, and generating smart lists and reminders from rules you set. It is never used for advertising or profiling, and never sold or shared with any third party.
3. Storage and syncing
| Where | What |
|---|---|
| Your device | Contacts live in the iOS system address book; app-owned data such as tags, notes and smart lists lives in the app’s local database |
| Your private iCloud database | If you are signed in to iCloud, app-owned data syncs to your own iCloud so it stays consistent across your devices |
| Automatic backups | vCard backups taken before a bulk delete are stored inside the app’s sandbox and never leave it |
Data is stored in the private database under your own Apple account, encrypted and managed by Apple. The developer has no ability to access its contents.
4. Third-party services
The app contains no third-party SDKs and makes no network requests of its own.
It uses Apple system services: Contacts, Camera and Vision, on-device Speech recognition, Calendar and Reminders, local notifications, and iCloud. Of these, only iCloud sync involves data leaving the device, and its destination is your own private iCloud database, governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.
5. Your rights
5.1 Permissions
| Permission | Required | Effect if declined |
|---|---|---|
| Contacts | Yes | The app’s core functionality is unavailable |
| Contacts (limited selection) | — | Works normally, but only manages the contacts you granted; the UI says so clearly |
| Camera | No | Card and QR scanning unavailable; everything else works |
| Microphone & Speech | No | Voice-to-text notes unavailable; everything else works |
| Calendar / Reminders | No | Birthdays and follow-ups cannot be written to system apps; in-app reminders still work |
| Notifications | No | No birthday or follow-up alerts; everything else works |
Every permission can be revoked at any time in system Settings.
5.2 Deleting your data
- In the app: delete contacts, tags and notes, or clear automatic backups from Settings
- Erase app data: Settings offers a single action that clears tags, notes, backups and onboarding state. Contacts in your system address book are not affected
- Complete removal: deleting the app removes all local data and backup files from your device; your system contacts are not lost when you uninstall
- Data in iCloud: remove it under Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Account Storage
The developer holds none of your data and therefore neither needs nor is able to delete it for you.
5.3 Children’s privacy
The app is not designed for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information. As the app collects no data at all, this has no practical effect.
6. Contact us
For questions, complaints, or to exercise your rights, please use the developer support channel listed on the App Store page.
If the app’s data handling changes, this policy will be updated and the effective date revised here; significant changes will be surfaced in the app.
