Easy Contacts Manager · Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-08-17
Effective: 2026-08-17

Please read these terms before using “Easy Contacts Manager” (the “app”). By downloading, installing or using the app, you agree to them.

1. What the app is

Easy Contacts Manager is a contact management and bulk-cleanup tool for iPhone. It has no servers and no account system; everything runs on your device, and app-owned data syncs between your devices through your own private iCloud database.

2. Licence and restrictions

The developer grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

3. Your content

Your contacts, tags, notes and smart lists belong to you. The developer claims no rights over them and cannot access them (see the Privacy Policy).

4. Important notice about deletion

This is the part of these terms that most deserves your attention.

4.1 Deletion is real and cannot be undone

Bulk delete genuinely removes contacts from your iPhone’s system address book. If you have iCloud Contacts sync enabled, the deletion propagates to your other devices. The app has no trash or recycle bin; deletions cannot be undone from within the app.

4.2 Automatic backup is a safety net, not insurance

Before a bulk delete, the app exports a vCard backup into its own sandbox, which you can view and export from Settings. However:

  • Only the most recent few backups are kept; older ones are pruned automatically
  • Backups live inside the app sandbox, so deleting the app deletes them too
  • Backup creation can fail, for example when storage is low

Before any large-scale deletion, export a full backup yourself and keep it outside the app (in the Files app or on a computer). The developer is not liable for data loss resulting from deletion.

4.3 Review before you delete

Duplicate detection and incomplete-entry filtering are rule-based heuristics and can be wrong. Review the results before confirming, especially for merges — a merge keeps one entry and deletes the others.

5. Disclaimers

5.1 Recognition is best-effort

Business-card text recognition, QR parsing and quick-add field parsing are automatic and can be wrong. Check the results before saving. No accuracy guarantee is given.

5.2 Reminders

Birthday and follow-up reminders rely on iOS local notifications and background task scheduling. Delivery timing is affected by system power management, Focus modes and background refresh settings, and is not guaranteed to be punctual or to occur at all. Do not rely on this app as the only reminder for anything important.

5.3 Syncing

iCloud sync is provided by Apple; its availability, timeliness and consistency are outside the developer’s control. Sync may be delayed or fail when you are not signed in to iCloud, have no network, or are out of iCloud storage.

6. Changes and termination

The developer may update or modify the app, or stop providing it, at any time. The app is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any direct or indirect loss arising from use of the app.

7. Third-party services

The app uses Apple’s Contacts, Camera, Speech, Calendar, Reminders, Notifications and iCloud services. These are governed by Apple’s own terms, and the developer is not responsible for their availability or behaviour.

8. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time, with the effective date revised on this page. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
